The Summer Line Has Arrived!

29 Apr

Lilly released the first of the 2011 summer line yesterday and ladies I am in LOVE. I planned on doing my top 5 must have summer items from the pictures released today, and honestly it was painstakingly hard to narrow it down. We are in trouble with this shopping trip! First I would just like to say that I am loving the nautical inspiration, especially after yesterday’s nautical post! I will be sure to add more to the list as release the second set of items for the summer line, so stay tuned for later additions. For now, here are my top 5 must have items of the Lilly Pulitzer Summer 2011 Line.

1) The Kelley Dress Eyelet. I love all the colors, but especially the Lemon Sorbet Holy Honey Eyelet. I love the scalloped hem on the dress, and also the neckline. This is definitely the kind of dress that can easily be worn with both flip-flops at a beach, or nice wedge heels for a night out on the town, and I love when a piece is versatile like that!

2) Penelope Top in Hotty Pink Twirlers. I love tunic tops, especially ones with a draw waist below the bust. I think it really creates a great shape, and can be paired with anything (white skinny jeans, shorts, as a beach cover up!). Another truly versatile piece. Plus it is pink and green, so you can’t go wrong!

 3) Betsey Dress in Classic White Had Me a Blast. I enjoy a halter neckline, and this one doesn’t fail to please! The halter tie reminds me of a necklace, and it really dresses up this adorable dress. The slight roushing in the bust and the cut of the dress look like they will be very flattering!

4) Katia Knit Wrap in Limeade Cherry Begonia. The Katia wrap is such a great piece for anyones wardrobe and I am loving the knit version in fabulous prints this season. Limeade Cherry is such a bright and fun print, you really can’t go wrong!

5) Sail Away Sandal. This was a tough choice, as I honestly want all of the new sandals which were released yesterday. These however stuck out because of the anchor, I love anchor prints on anything (anything!) and these shoes called to me. I must have these for my rehearsal dinner. Must!

That is all for today! I am headed to my local Lilly shop this weekend, I will post with my latest purchases!
