Honeymoon Photo Session? Yes Please!

28 Mar

My husband loves me. Really really loves me. How do I know? He puts up with me planning professional photo sessions at every turn. And only complains a little.

Our honeymoon in Belize was no different, obviously. And M only require one cocktail mid session to get through it (hence the photo of me. by myself. on my honeymoon.)! I debated over our outfits for weeks. Dressy? Casual? Bright? In the end I made last minute decisions of casual and nautical-esque and I LOVE LOVE the turnout. My dress is the Cassie dress (by Lilly) in navy stripe accented by the fit to be tied belt (also by Lilly), and an old pair of J.Crew flip flops. M’s shirt is an SPF fishing shirt by Montauk Tackle (cause I know my readers care about mens fashion?).

Anyways, I just wanted to share some of the fabulous pics!

Can I just say that I love the above photo because I look ridiculously ridiculously tan! Is that wrong? Carry on with the photos…

Ahh there are so many more, but I know no one is interested in looking at a million photos of M and I. FYI I loved Belize. And the Victoria House where we stayed and where these photos were taken. And Jose Luis Zapata for being a fabulous photographer. And my husband for being a good sport.

Christmas in Antigua!

19 Jan

M and I have been home from our fabulous Christmas vacation for a few weeks now but I am bogged down with pneumonia so I am VERY late getting these photos up! We spend 9 wonderful days in Antigua at The Verandah Resort and Spa with M’s family who generously brought us on this wonderful vacation as our Christmas gift! Much love to the in-laws!

The resort was fabulous, we spent a lot of time snorkeling right from the beaches in the crystal clear waters, we also went jet skiing, stand up paddling, and sailing. Everything was perfect! The island was gorgeous and we spent a few days exploring the island and some of its 365 beaches. We took some amazing photos with our new DSLR camera (a wonderful early christmas gift from the hubby) and here they are!

We had such a great time and it was so great to relax! Check back tomorrow for a fabulous Banana Muffin recipe I am showcasing!

A-Maine-zing…

12 Sep

Yeah that was a bad title. I am aware. But really I love Maine. We usually take tons of pictures but this year I was pretty lame with the camera, I admit. I did get some amazing shots of the sunsets and lighthouse though.

We stayed at a friend’s lake house on Sebago. The sunsets are amazing! Here is my favorite shot:

M fishing on the Dock

After a few amazing days at the Lake fishing, swimming, sunning, and reading we had to head home. M and I decided to take the long way home and drive home along the coast of Maine. We drove through Portland, had lunch in Old Port, then hit Cape Elizabeth and Kennebunkport. Cape Elizabeth is home to the most photographed lighthouses in the USA (someone told me this and I am taking it as fact) so naturally we stopped to take pictures!

It was beautiful in Cape Elizabeth. If it didn’t snow there 8 months out of the year I would consider living there. But the adorable shingle sided beachy homes were exactly what I want in our someday dream home:) It was a great vacation and I can’t wait to go again next year!

PreppyHouseWife is a Wife!!

4 Aug

I have been very MIA lately but things have been busy, M and I are officially married!!! We had an amazing week in Key West and had a completely gorgeous wedding. I will bombard this blog with pictures when we get our professional photographs back, but for now just a few preppy samples of our big day!

When we woke up the morning of the wedding M and I got a nice breakfast and exchanged gifts before we went our separate ways. Apparently someone has been reading my blog because he gifted my with an adorable Lilly Pulitzer clutch as well as these amazing monogrammed Jack Rodger sandals with my brand new monogram. Home run for the first gift from my Hubby, he sure has set the bar high!

My Monogrammed Jack Rodgers!

The getting ready went crazy with 100% adorable-ness when my three flower girls showed up in all their beautiful Lilly “Gone Fishin'” glory. I was loving their dresses and flowered headbands! Here is PreppyHouseWife with my little ladies!

Flower Girls!

Our ceremony was beautiful and amazing, walking down the sandy aisle to the tune of steel drums to the love of my life was a perfect moment that I will cherish forever.  Here is one of us exchanging our vows!

Our Beautiful Beach Ceremony

Our reception was phenomenal and such a great party. The food was amazing, everyone was dancing, however it was a very hot night so once the party ended M and I decided to cool off and take a quick dip….wedding dress and all!

Taking the plunge!

That’s all for tonight, updates on the new Fall Lilly line, professional pictures, and some new yummy recipes are coming soon!
